Some great news: I just got off the phone with the U.S. Coast Guard, who has returned the rescue helicopter to Newport and promised to keep it there. This is a big win to keep fishermen and the Newport community safe.
Oregon is suing the Trump administration for relocating, without notice, a Coast Guard rescue helicopter that has saved lives in dangerous waters near Newport. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

So there are 11 people in their "window" for my call shifts this weekend. Just raining bellies and CPTSD over here.

Fantastic time to check out my Ko-Fi and treat yourself to my short stories, novel excerpts, and personal and project lore.

Your subscriptions also keep the baby train moving.
My in-bio site is functional in a static business card kind of way. I know newsletters are what all the cool authors have, the way my neurology is set up newsletters are hell. But Ko-fi is a great place to catch up with me, and if we're accustomed to interacting my DMs can get you my Signal.

Took a break from cutting stuff out to stamp snowflakes on all the cards. Came out pretty well and took very little time! I should start gluing some of the cat silhouettes I've already cut out onto the cards since the books I use to press them flat while they dry can only fit so many at a time.

"Thagomizer" in Japanese is, in fact, サゴマイザー/sagomaizaa, and you can imagine my delight when it dawned on me what the katakana I was reading represented.
Come to think of it, Johnny, what's the Thagomizer called in Japanese?
