Gonna stop being so political all the time, instead, here are good comic ideas I have had:

Zatanna is dating a slight of hand stage magician who has 1 stupid trick Batman can't figure out. It's a one shot and we follow Bruce's rapid deterioration as his detective work can't
crack it
It seems more likely that the Democrats would offer a handwringing apology to all those who were unpardoned, congratulate themselves for not undoing any of trump's pardons, and then introduce Cuomo as secretary of state
If the entire Trump administration doesn't realize that this would guarantee that the Trump pardons they're all banking on will also be declared invalid by a future president, nobody tell them.
BREAKING: President Trump declared that all of former President Biden’s pardons are now “invalid.” There is no legal mechanism for presidents to revoke their predecessors’ pardons but if Trump is taken seriously, thousands could be thrown into legal chaos.

I think, one wild thing to me about Power or Capital or The Ruling Class or however you want to phrase it, is that the atrophying of their control on propaganda is so brittle that it takes fairly little exposure to counternarratives to shatter it, and they have seemingly no way to combat it?
What's galling here is her subtext: she intimates that if people only knew 'Israel's story' somehow the genocidal ethnic cleansing could be justified. The whole thing is so disturbing, trying to blame young people, tiktok, youtube, to dismiss Palestinian grievances as propaganda.

Mega Manga

Created by a Mega Mangaka
I was recently gifted a Mega Man Manga by @ingforart.bsky.social and it fucking hints that Wily and Light were lovers in college.

Obviously it's a gag/doshin Manga.

But still. It cracks me up.

Stranger Things gets a bunch of shit wrong about the edition of Dungeons and Dragons that the kids would have been playing and honestly that's the worst part of season 5 for me

Fan Duel has a thing called "Pass The Leg" where you and a gang of your friends can all pick one leg of a parlay, and then win or lose together.

They should call that shit the Friendship Ender 5000, because the friend that picks the leg of your 7 way parlay that doesn't come in is fucked

I'm imagining an episode of Abbot Elementary where they throw turkeys off the roof and cause tremendous about of property damage
The fact that we're still talking about the WKRP Thanksgiving episode demonstrates that there's a real opening for a modern television show to step up and create a perennial favorite

I cannot imagine a more ominous setup for anything than: Germans Get Together And Pretend To Live In Wild West Texas.

Just extremely bad vibes from jump
Wrote what is maybe my favorite story in a while: I wrote about the suburb of Berlin where Germans get together at Old Texas Town and pretend to live in a Wild West Texas. Now, it's going to be demolished for a data center: www.chron.com/culture/arti...
Old Town Texas is a slice of Texas in Germany. It's about to be destroyed.
Here, Germans wear Stetsons and line dance. But their little slice of Texas may soon be no more.

Putting together an Information Literacy lesson for the nursing students today, and their instructor wants me to talk about the tylenol-autism link.

It's really surprising how hard it is to find a source that says there is one. (Great!)

The most prominent one the white house fact sheet. (Fuck me.)

Wes Anderson's Cannonball Run. Live action only. None of his animated bullshit
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Outside of cost, this doesn't matter. you would do well to break yourself of attachments to monuments to the state

Just for the record, since many of you have no tattoos, you usually have to find a tattoo artist who's willing to do nazi tattoos

It involves a surprising amount of planning... unless you're already in regular contact with people who think it would he a cool and fun thing to do

This is ellipses is ominous as hell
Fun fact! Wombats apparently tunnel in a straight line until something stops them. This makes them a risk for telecoms infrastructure and at least one Australian telco used to pay uni researchers to track them. When the wombats got too close to the underground fibre optic cables, the researchers...
Happy World Wombat Day! Sound on to listen to the very soothing munching noises of this chonky wombat...

Not for nothin, but if "Doesn't Have A Nazi Tattoo" is an unreasonable purity test for elected office to you, there is literally no other conclusion to draw than that you are, at the very least, not strictly opposed to nazis.

Which is a wierd thing to broadcast so publicly

Extremely interested in the 15% of people who do not believe belief in God is essential to being a Christian.

I strongly suspect that setting them all out to sea would be a net positive for society
86% of Christians in the US say that being honest is *essential* to being a Christian. www.pewresearch.org/religion/202...

RIP to the only good part of KISS
Ace Frehley, the wild Spaceman of Kiss who played guitar in the band throughout their Seventies heyday and again during the reunion period in the Nineties and inspired an entire generation of musicians, has died at age 74.

Few sports stories better than when a white QB who is definitely not a great prospect rockets up the draft board powered by dog whistles and racial wishcasting, then predictably shits the bed.

The desire to make tron a franchise would lead one to believe it has a much larger cultural footprint than it does.

Like if they wanted to make a Panzer Dragoon Cinematic Universe
