Happy Thanksgiving creeps! We've got a new episode for you! Take a break from your family with us as we look at Keeper, director Osgood Perkins’ third movie in 18 months. We also suggest some more weird stuff in the woods and talk about what foods we've eaten because of our Midwestern upbringing.

one of the grimmest things I’ve ever read, but happily it does contain the phrase “mysterious constellation of brutal practices”
Pointed out by my friend @carloshasanax.bsky.social . There's something weird and unsettling about a fairly homogeneous culture spread out across Europe that then collapses into an orgy of genocide.

Depending on when we get back from KC tomorrow evening, I'll either be watching THE LAST WALTZ at Liberty Hall or starting in on Netflix Christmas movies with A MERRY EX-MAS.

Either way, it's gonna be great.

All this & fingers crossed for fried sweet potatoes.

While your results may vary based on skill and/or experience, might I recommend getting slightly left-of-center, sober-wise, & making bread pudding from scratch?

So rewarding.

there were a couple weeks where i tried Perplexity to see if AI search engines were any good.

They aren't.

If you disagree let me make something clear: I am better at searching than you.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Same cast as the first HHGG movie, but if they can't do a better script they just use four episodes of the radio series.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

As someone with 20 years of professional baking experience, let me tell you some stuff about pie:
* A 50/50 blend of butter & lard makes for a tasty/flaky crust.
* Roasting your own pumpkin makes absolutely no difference. At all.
* Swap pecans for walnuts & use 50% maple syrup with 50% corn syrup. 🤤
