The guy from the "Hit it, Joe!" photoplayer meme is starting his own nonprofit to preserve silent cinema technology:

So, Jackbox has a game in pack 11 where it asks you to make noises.
I got the prompt to do like, 5 seconds of swearing.
I did about 4 seconds of incoherent mumbling and then 1 second of just yelling FUCK.
...THE GAME CUT OUT THE MUMBLING AND WE WERE FUCKING LOSING IT when it showed the sound clip XD

Tyson regularly contaminates its food with things like metal shavings, rubber pieces, lead particles.

The first two are the result of a manufacturing.
The last one is deliberate, they put lead on chicken breading to slightly increase the weight to sell less chicken for more money.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Open AI loses copyright case in Germany.

Judge Elke Schwager summarized the case saying that if you want to build something and need components, "then you purchase them and do not use the property of others."

Execs always claim bloated budgets increase retail prices. This is a lie.

They will always increase prices to whatever they think they can get away with. Always have, always will. AI is merely a new get-richer-quicker scheme.

And execs will never admit the most bloated costs… are themselves.
- AI is used to offload the "tedious" work so devs can focus on the artistic side of things

- AI will make games cheaper to and faster to produce

Still a $70 game btw...

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

saw this article: share.google/NvOwAFN5PHi2..., but sadly while I agree with the message, it rings INCREDIBLY HOLLOW coming from Inafune, who, if you'll remember, left Capcom and then headed up mighty no 9, a failure imitation of Megaman, and attempted to Kickstart Red Ash, a legends clone.
Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune criticizes game industry’s growing reliance on IP fame and trendy genres. “We need developers with a clear message”  - AUTOMATON WEST
Former Capcom and Level-5 veteran Keiji Inafune recently gave a talk on how the maturation of the game industry has made creators "defensive."

Dropping cosmetics prices and refunding players who already bought them is a fun distraction from all the negative talk about not using human voice actors for your NPCs

But it also follows that if you can afford to cut prices and do refunds, you could afford to pay human actors to voice your NPCs.
