I don't know what will happen in NYC tonight, but I do know that regardless of outcome, any number of public figures, celebrities, politicians and institutions that oppose Mamdani have done so with a level of rhetorical ugliness, racism, and dishonesty that should neither be forgotten nor forgiven.

OpenAI pirated large numbers of books and used them to train models.
OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.
A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.

Seen a few Q&As in the past month with filmmakers releasing their movie with Netflix, and have been enjoying the different ways they manage to get in a passive aggressive dig at their studio with effusive praise for the theatrical experience.

It can still be spooky this weekend btw, the jack o’lanterns haven’t rotted yet!

Does the OP think this is… impressive? Good? Like… never be the same, how? They’ll be bad? Like this is?
AI sitcom accidentally a Lynchian fever dream. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and insane lament.

It should take at least 8 months from theatrical release day to be able to stream something. Maybe longer.
Are the movies the problem? Sure, somewhat. But I continue to maintain the decline in box office isn't scarcity of product but the short theatrical window. The casual moviegoer will not go to the theater if they can see it on a streaming in a matter of weeks. They just won't.

I’m hardly an expert on these things but I bet $120 Million would be considered less of a ‘gamble’ if the movie was allowed to play in theaters for longer than 6 days or whatever. 🤔
