I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

This is not enough. First of all, the funding they already have is insane. Then they need to stop wearing masks. And there has to be penalties for turning off the body cams. And no absolute immunity. Please call and write your blue senators.
🚨NEWS: Senate Dems are reportedly offering ICE funding increases in exchange for body cams and de-escalation training for agents.

Body cams can be turned off. De-escalation training can be ignored.

Unclear if no masks, requiring ID badges, and no immunity is on the table.

Privatization of prison food isn’t a new phenomenon, but it’s growing substantially.

And the food in prison is, as a rule, bad.
Prison Food Is a Growing Billion-Dollar Industry. Many Meals Are Inedible.
As private food providers' contracts grow, the meager and moldy portions behind bars have forced some people to eat toothpaste and toilet paper.
