Not guns. Not ICE. Not election-stealing, racism or fascism.

Whistles.

Look, it was either skull measurers at CBS or the ominous threat of pronouns
In response to announcement that he will be a new CBS contributor, Andrew Huberman tweeted “I’ve always gone issue-by-issue on health & science, spoken to experts w/a range of takes & presented where I see the center of (data) mass pointed. I’ll do the same with @CBSNews”. In Sept he posted this:

A man assaulted Representative Ilhan Omar at her town hall, but she responded by dropping an f-bomb. Both sides need to tone things down.

Coming tomorrow, by someone who thinks of themself as a serious person.

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.

What a relief that they’re calling for a general de-escalation of tensions, since it’s hard to tell who’s at fault, the people murdering people or the people who aren’t doing the murdering.

Think about how although Pretti was a gunowner, when he saw someone being attacked his first response wasn't to use the gun but to help them up and ask them if they're ok.

It wasn't even on his mind that a gun would be useful.

Compare that to the paranoia of rightwing gun culture.

i think this attitude — that all opposition is illegitimate and nothing we do can be questioned— is probably pervasive in the white house and helps explain why they keep making terrible political choices
Putin pioneered this. No opposition is legitimate. Regular, decent, “ordinary” people cannot possibly be against us because only we represent “the real people.”

Tell-tale sign of authoritarianism.

It must be wild being a Republican. Literally no beliefs other than a burning desire to have a bigger, more confident man tell them what to do.

I’m begging lefties and liberals to stop posting things that erase the reality of how violent the US has been to Indigenous people and Black people (among other US populations) ever since its inception and along the way.

PLEASE. Do not copy conservatives by erasing history.

I will be blocking anyone who says ICE murders could be avoided if people complied or stayed home.

Fuck off.

They're prepping for door to door violence The next step is murdering people IN THEIR HOMES.

I'm not here to communicate with anyone who blames people for getting murdered.

just gonna throw out a quick reminder that in America police kill a yearly average of 3 civilians per day, routinely in situations very similar to these ICE killings, and decades of explicit support for police impunity by US politicians is why ICE feels theyre able to get away with this right now
Our government is murdering the citizens of this country. They are doing it without any checks on their violence

I don't think anyone should have a gun, but I'm told it's a constitutionally-protected right. If their justification for executing him is that he owns a gun, then the US might lose about 100 million people very soon.

Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.

Any second now, I'm sure.

He was a white guy, if that helps?

Hello? NRA?

As we grieve for Alex Pretti and Renee Good in MN, please do not forget Victor Manuel Diaz, who died in ICE custody after being taken from here. And all others who have died in their custody.
36-year-old Nicaraguan national Victor Manuel Diaz died in ICE custody on Jan. 14 at Camp East Montana in El Paso.

The Texas Nicaraguan Community on FB reports that his mom last heard from him on Jan. 6, when he told her he was planning to go to Minneapolis to start work in a restaurant. 1/3

People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.

And as much as Alex’s murder fucking sucks, he is still an anomaly. An exception of the rule because he dares to defend people of color and his community. Unlike Philando. Who was just driving his fucking car.
