And now, a note on Bill Owens who, until this past week, was the executive producer of 60 Minutes.

We’ll be back next week with another edition of 60 Minutes.

Stuck on subway at midnight, someone threw up on the train; nose bleeding, alcohol poisoning. A man in a pimp outfit with a crushed velvet bucket hat, accessibility cane, and Adidas sweatpants is calling for his sister, who is traversing the trains explaining to everyone what happened.

Forever NYC.
In bed by 9:00pm with my chocolate milk.

Forever baby.

Good morning. Monday morning. In a rank choice voting system you need to rank five good apples for mayor in addition to NOT ranking Cuomo and NOT ranking Adams.

American civil society is full of abject cowards, that is the issue. The government is a mafia state but it is winning because most American elite institutions are devoid of anything resembling integrity and are folding rather than stand on principles that were little more than marketing.

People are waking up to just how bad things are with co-presidents Trump & Musk and Republicans running Congress.

We don’t have to wait for midterms—we can win special elections now. We’ve been here before and won.

Hey when dealing with Nazi disinformation, remember that repeating it only cements it in people’s heads, even if you actively debunk it.

RFK: antivax brainworm word salad!

You: RFK is pro mass death.

Don’t repeat any of their messaging even to prove it wrong.

I used to work for an elected official as the person who answered their emails. I can tell you from personal experience, if even twenty or thirty people all call an official in a day, they start panicking. This stuff does help.
I know you hate this advice. I know you hear it all the time, but for gods sake you need to be calling your congressperson. Now. Today.

If you have a GOP representative, you need to call and ask if they approve of stripping congress of its constitutional authority. If they like being powerless.

In a boxing match, a flurry of missed punches leaves you exhausted. The aggressor is the vulnerable one🙂🙃

What do MMA bros have to do with resisting anti-DEI attacks?

Every attack takes energy. Their goal is to overwhelm you with a flurry of this nonsense.

Don't get overwhelmed. Make them miss.

Draw a Bicycle

1. Draw a Bubble Diagram of a Bicycle. Use bubbles to express the key concepts of a bicycle; use placement and size to convey relationships

2. Now draw a bicycle

3. What do we notice (more)? Jot down some observations about drawing to see, to think, ..

This is exactly right. The tech industry is full of progressives and lefty radicals, as well as friendly nerds who just want to build better comms infrastructure and protect your privacy. We have allies on the inside. Don't dismiss them.
We should be specific when we say "tech", whether we mean the fascist overlords, or some kid who works at an Apple Store. The folks who organized unions at Amazon and Google are people, too, and are more _tech_ than any of the tycoons.
the only reason that tech was ever remotely left-coded was that in the early 2010s they consciously aligned themselves with what appeared to be the dominant political party. that meant large donations to Dems and nominal gestures toward diversity. as soon as the winds shifted they swung right.
