echoing a bit of @rahaeli.bsky.social 's talks about online safety for kids, I'd like to add "please be RESPECTFUL to people" At least, I assume some steam users are children and not fully grown adults who can play other games. Also. ITS A GAME ABOUT BEAVERS BUILDING A SOCIETY chill.

I'm getting some likely incorrect ideas about what a24 films are like from this Make Some Noise episode.

"alright lets see the game updates"

That one The Oatmeal comic of soccerballs coming out of the computer to smother him but its all the games requesting a nom for the steam awards.

So you made a robot stand up and talk... now what? In this over 4-hour journey, Kevin follows the promise of Disney's Living Character Initiative, an effort to populate Disney theme parks with free-roaming, interactive beings. It was touted as the future. How's it going? Watch here: bit.ly/49C6vng

once again being reminded that POS means both Point of Service AND Piece of Shit. I'm assuming Square's dongle has been a bit of both as any tech is. @ironspike.bsky.social (why did my brain just go at symbol iron mouse?)

I think sometimes about the advent of Square's POS dongle. (This was before tap-to-pay.)

Nobody had to tell anyone they had no choice, this was the new normal, get used to it.

Nobody needed persuading this was THE FUTURE.

The only complaints I remember were about being waitlisted for one.

Note for Democratic politicians: you don't have to start your condemnations of ICE raids with "We all want to catch violent criminals, but..." Just say "These raids have nothing to do with catching criminals and everything to do with terrorizing innocent minority groups."

Prime Video "meet the main characters of the mighty nein! here's THE BIG REVEALS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEXT SEASON AND A HALF OR THREE SEASONS! WOOOOO" So uh, good luck to the animated show only watchers I guess.

cartoons are wild. "oh here is my coat pocket which holds an entire bottle of wine!"

Meanwhile my jacketr pocket barely holds a wallet and phone. and that's the one in the Men section! If a lady wants a jacket with pockets it barely holds a few tiny Charlee Bears when she wishes it held a Buick.

i liked it better when the only political Olivia i heard about was Olivia Pope. Scandal on ABC in the 2020s would be buckwild.

Nobody asked, but:

I think the biggest pitfall of sci-fi/fantasy storytelling, especially for worldbuilders, in the infodump.

You're (rightfully) just so proud of all the work you put into creating a cohesive setting that you just wanna PUKE it all over readers/watchers on page one.

My only commentary on that one lady is every time I see her last name I can't tell if it ends in an "i" or an "L" and it reminds me of the word n a z i. so not great.
