This is what the prison rape elimination act is supposed to stop but the Trump administration revoked all guidance under PREA for incarcerated trans people. Thus, any and all protections from rape are being purposefully removed.

The last time what mostly resembled steady work ended, I was told someone in management had been stomping around shouting about not wanting to pay [slur omitted] writers anymore.
There's a documented in-group of journalists enforcing an anti-trans policy against writers.
