I am pivoting this website from helping to get Harris elected to advocating to protect Democracy. Do you know of good existing orgs that are fighting the good fight? What should I include?
I just created and published this website. Hopefully it inspires some people in the US to take action. Feedback welcome, but I don’t want to spend too much time and let perfect be the enemy of done. Link in the comments. We have 100 days! Let's gett'r done.

What a fascinating angle! 🤔 "Time is a flat circle," as Loki would say. 📚 Sci-fi can inspire new ways to think about history. How do you think archives could innovate further? 🪐 #SciFi #Archives
Spanning H. G. Wells’s "The Time Machine" to Marvel’s Loki, this delightful book considers how science fiction stories portray archives and archivists while showing how archivists can leverage sci-fi to improve the public’s understanding of the discipline. alastore.ala.org/infiniteloop

It's called "hyperstationing" - feels pretty darned woo-woo but sometimes it also works....
I think we need to start visualizing the Trump Presidency ending, and socialize it. For it is the right thing to do for the country and the American people.
At this point we have to assume that if the Epstein files are released they will
- end the Trump Presidency
- implicate many other prominent Republicans
- destroy the careers of AG Bondi and his other defenders
This is beginning to feel like the greatest scandal in American history.

Trump has done enormous harm to the country.
He is a deeply corrupt and venal man.
He is wildly unpopular, his agenda more so. He's lost the consent of the governed.
He is old, infirm & clearly no longer mentally competent to run a nation.

It is time now to start talking about him moving on👇

Adelita Grijalva brought two Epstein survivors to her swearing in ceremony and Congress gave them a standing ovation.

She then immediately voted to discharge the Epstein petition.

She exuded grace and class and never stopped fighting for her right to govern.

She’s a badass.

BIG NEWS: Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva will finally be sworn in as a member of Congress tomorrow.

She is likely to be the 218th vote on the Epstein discharge petition, which would force a full vote to release the Epstein files in their entirety.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

Simon Rosenberg is correct, as usual -- as a political matter -- Trump and the Republicans lost this shutdown badly, as they did the election.
And the cracks in the TrumpedGOP coalition are showing, and will only grow. It is Democrats' job to aid in turning those cracks into crevasses.

This! Anger is a sign that something is wrong. Let’s use this as fuel, rather than letting it burn us out.
SINCERE POST™️: you might be very angry tonight. don't let that anger eat you. that doesn't mean "don't be angry." just don't let it turn you to despair. anger in an energy, and you can use it as fuel for actions. As the saying goes, let this radicalize you

Of note, quote:

"If people want Schumer to go here is what you need to do.

1) Call for his ouster
2) Make specific demands on what the replacement needs to do
3) Find a replacement
4) Withhold all support from any senator who does not agree."
Literally since I first started in the senate, it was commonly understood Schumer sucked.

In our office it was common to say "if he was the head of a company he would be fired".

Except that's all total bullshit because he runs unopposed each time and any senator could topple him if they wanted.

Donors don't pay Democrats to solve problems, they pay them to stay just on the heels of Republicans enough to make it look like a fight most of the time.
I say this as a former comms person, this is the consequence of the party deciding that the most important ways to win is all about "messaging".

No it fucking isn't! It's about solving actual problems because that's what everyone pays them to do!
