When Aster Frikartii stops blooming in the fall, the remaining flowers dry and become little white pompoms. Butterflies love the blooming flowers and then birds enjoy them.🐦‍⬛🦋

My walk along the river yesterday - 80°F and sunny. Volunteers constructed a primitive trail that's somewhat challenging and perfect for cleaning the mental cobwebs. 🌞🍂🚶‍♀️

Ripe figs are still out there to be harvested after the 28°F night we had this week. The shrubs' leaves are withered and browning but the figs keep coming. Nature persists no matter what.🍂🏆

Sprouts quadruple the nutritional value of their seeds, especially when they get some sun to develop chlorophyll. We use them on salads and sandwiches. Delish.
