At the TIME100 AI celebration last night, Natasha Lyonne stood in front of the emperors of AI and challenged them to their face. Doing that takes guts. And I’m incredibly honored that she cited my work as well.

Thank you for speaking truth to power, Natasha. 🙏

ICYMI: One aspect of Marc Maron's legacy is his ability to listen. He rarely let his voice overwhelm the conversation and was brilliant at steering it back on track when it tended to wander. His show had such a variety of personalities due to his empathetic interest in what he was hearing #WTF

Review: Linklater lets buffalo run free in 12 + 2, conceptually at least, but in the installation, performance, and paintings on view he also reimagines the world in their terms. Given the mutual identification, coexistence, and interdependence between Native people and the species across millennia
For Duane Linklater, It’s a Buffalo’s World
The Omaskêko Cree artist ties the well-being of the animals to that of the Indigenous people with whom they have long lived symbiotically — not in nostalgic terms, but in futurist ones.

Essay: Metchewais, insisted the land in these paintings was not actually absent but rather “unseen,” a symbolic denial of ground taught to the Studio painters that corresponded with the historic displacement of Indigenous peoples from their ancestral lands, seeking an invisible landscape
A Native American Artist’s Prayer for Home
Kimowan Metchewais died at the age of 47, leaving behind ethereal Polaroids and mixed-media works that embrace Indigenous ways of knowing.

A surrealist, an iconoclast, a contrarian and provocateur, Buñuel claimed that his project was to pierce the self-assurance of the powerful. His work takes shape beneath the “double arches of beauty and rebellion” His masterpieces are essential viewing, but even his lesser works are worth a look

Paul Éluard.

Poem written in circular form, 1950.

Bonne justice.

C’est la chaude loi des hommes
Du raisin ils font du vin
Du charbon ils font du feu
Des baisers ils font des hommes

C’est la dure loi des hommes
Se garder intact malgré
Les guerres et la misère
Malgré les dangers de mort...
