Imagine UK Labour luminary Blair sitting on a board with US thief Kushner and US jelly Rubio to decide on the lives and the property of people in Palestine?

I can’t imagine anything more corrupt. Corrupt in every sense. Gross. Ugly. Crass. Illegal. Wrong.

“Trump invaded Venezuela, kidnapped its president, stole a bunch of its oil, sold it, and stashed the money in banks in Qatar” is a stone-cold CLASSIC of this genre
The stuff in the GOP bill is some of the clearest ever examples of "if you explain what Republicans are doing in straightforward factual terms an otherwise under-informed normie will think you have entirely lost your mind and can't be trusted"

The West supports capitalism. Everything else - human rights, democracy, etc - is just window dressing to be discarded with when it suits
I find the West's support for the racist apartheid state of Israel (and our govts' celebration of profits from its genocide) utterly horrifying. There is no rules-based international order. The West doesn't support democracy, freedom or #HumanRights at all. #auspol #IsraeliTerrorism #FreePalestine

IEA estimate of solar offsetting shiploads of coal based on 2023 data

Since then, tech improves, and in 2026, effectiveness of clean energy shiploads is up by up to 15%

But, efficiency of a ship full of coal or gas remains static

I've seldom felt compelled to block people on BlueSky. But the hunger strike has mobilised some people's worst instincts: "Let them die! It's all their fault!" etc etc. It appears to trigger a deep, and deeply disturbing, inhumanity. I must have blocked 20 of them by now.
A number of people on this platform have been claiming that it's not up to government to shorten people's time on remand, however far beyond the statutory limit that time extends.
Well, take it from a very eminent retired judge. It is.

The military assault on Venezuela, the shooting of a woman by an ICE agent, the launch of the White House’s new revisionist website about January 6—these three events convey a powerful and unsettling message from Trump and his crew:

Violence is ours to use, at home and abroad, to get what we want.
The Trump doctrine: Violence is us
The message is clear—be afraid.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

Saying things like "we've always been concerned about human rights and democracy" as the Empire flattens both is gaslighting and propaganda.

One thing this invasion of Venezuela is gonna do is persuade countries like, oh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, and Argentina that they could need nukes after all. Iran will work harder. Egypt and KSA may well, too. And what about Canada and Mexico? Easy for the one; maybe harder for the other. Maybe.
