This is the worst simulation I’ve ever lived in.

Wow, they actually made a trophy representing Trump’s lifelong performance in groping without permission.

What is the quintessential Onion headline? The strong contender that just randomly popped in my mind is "Hank Williams Jr. Honored by Institute For Football Preparedness"

He could die.
a thing to ask yourself re: the GOP's electoral position is what could happen over the next year that could *improve* its position? and what could trump do, plausibly, that might *boost* his numbers with the public?

Q: Why did Donald Trump bury Ivana on one of his golf courses?

A: So he could still cheat on her.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

I wonder if the turkey drop in WKRP would have gone better if they’d defrosted the turkeys first?

Apparently I missed some big development in the news yesterday which has left a lot of people here feeling like they’ve had enough internet for a while, and I cannot figure out what it was.

Maybe I’m just jaded? Or maybe I’m the frog in the pot.

#MarjorieTaylorGreene following the proud #Republican tradition of quitting when the going gets rough (see also: #TACO), decides to leave finishing the destruction of U.S. democracy to others.

I know this makes me a bad person but I kinda wish Geddy Lee and Rush would get involved in some kind of massive lawsuit so I could joke that today's Tom Sawyer needs a keen keen lawyer.

The wonder of the Discover tab is sometimes you get a post which you just lack the context to understand.

Jordan Davis? Singer? Activist? Athlete? Cat? (Could be a cat. There are lots of cats here.)

(I apologize to OP for this post. If it wasn’t them it woulda been someone else.)
Jordan Davis has been so good this year

Oof, few things more frustrating than the smoke alarm going off at 1:30 am.

I ended up having to disconnect the one that was going off since the one other thing I could think of - vacuuming the sensor - didn’t help; it kept going off.

Starting to wonder if the end result of all this - even if the Repugnicans don’t complete their coup - is that the Democratic Party splits into a moderate party and a liberal party.

That would probably mark the end of liberal influence in the federal government for a generation or two.

Growing up we always muted commercials.

One day, watching TV at a friend’s house, I muted the commercials. Everyone stared at me in horror and someone actually said, “Why would you do that?!” like I just threw paint on their furniture.

So that’s how I learned how propaganda works as a 10 year old.
when I was a kid and ads played on TV my father would outright leave the room until they were done, which when he got lazier he'd just change the channel for 2 minutes to find literally any other one that wasn't in commercial

I found it ridiculous back then but I totally get it now dad
