explain to me, very slowly, like the dimwitted child you must think I am, how body cameras or ICE cooperating with cops would have prevented any of the many, many, many law enforcement murders committed by both ICE and cops over the years which were already thoroughly documented on video
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

I say this as a victim and as a lawyer and as a journalist and as a woman in public, no one, literally no one in power, cares about victims of sexual violence. This is why they promise women more police and prisons (allegedly to help them) while fancy men who are friends with Epstein go free.

Reminder that "jaywalking" was literally made up by american car manufacturers to shift the blame for accidents from drivers to pedestrians. "Jay" was a slang term meaning "idiot" or "rube".
“Jaywalking is permitted in London. In 1966, the police tried to crack down on it, but gave up after three months.”

People walk and cycle on roads by right, people drive under licence.

Jaywalking is not a thing in English law and Waymo must not change that.

Waymo’s cars were first rolled out in San Francisco, but the English capital’s old roads, pelican crossings and jaywalkers may pose issues for AI, says science and technology professor Jack Stilgoe

It's unthinkable to send 1000 ICE thugs to Springfield, OH. The Haitians invited there deserve to live with dignity. This needs to be extended indefinitely or they need to provide a road to citizenship with a reasonable timeframe for these people.
A federal judge late on Monday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from ending a humanitarian protection for more than 350,000 Haitians, who have been able to live and work in the U.S. under what is known as Temporary Protected Status, or TPS. Here's what to know.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

*raises hand timidly* Um...hi. I'm Puerto Rican, and I care? So do my Puerto Rican parents and sister? It's trivially easy to dismiss that sort of thing when "being American" isn't something they're trying to take away from you, with profound consequences.

And, we do *want* our citizenship.

THEY DID IT. EVERY SENATE DEMOCRAT just voted on an amendment to DEFUND ICE (rescind the BBB slush fund that keeps ICE open during a shutdown.) This amendment failed, but it shows broad support! KEEP CALLING and make it a demand to vote for the DHS funding bill!!
👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.
