All my psychiatric medications (fluoxetine, mirtazapine, and lamitrigine) would, at worst instances, cost me approx. 3700$. With my insurance it’s between 25$ and 35$ for a 90 day supply. Nobody should have to pay 1200$+ per month to not want to kill themselves.

Universal healthcare is OVERDUE.
My anti-inflammatory medication is $3000 a month without insurance. $900 with, but there's a copay card (thank god).
We need universal healthcare ASAP

Bartimil lamenting about his dad but not being able to pinpoint why.

#QueerPrompts Jan 6

Bartimil remembers the first day his father taught him the Prayer for Repose, a powerful bit of magic meant to lay spirits to rest, and how to use it in the face of even the most restless of souls. He taught it as both a spoken piece and a song by singing Barty to sleep. 🌙

This entirely. I didn’t generate 240k words worth of Sonic fanfiction about the process of grief and the transformative power of forgiveness and self-honesty with AI, I WROTE it with my gay ass feeling every word that the characters spoke because it’s the gift I gave to heal my own broken heart!!
If you're using AI to generate fanfiction you're a loser. We write fanfiction for the love of the game, the characters, the need to fix a horrible ending. You use the wrong punctuation not because you're stupid machine, but because you graduated high school over a decade ago and forgot grammar.

Okay so lemme explain the history of American-born religions and how most of them literally stemmed from LITERALLY one guy getting an eschatological prophecy wrong. The amount of batshittery that the Second and Third Great Awakenings got up to was WILD. The geneology of faith leaves me gobsmacked 😶
u heard sharon, everyone post about their esoteric interests right fucking now. for the good of the community, we need to be hyperfixationmaxxing.
i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

Bartimil was heavily shaped by his time as a traveling mortician with his father, even if he was too small to do the more gritty work. He learned that every person deserves respect no matter what their body says about them. To him, a body was like a cicada shell compared to the spirit.

I think I’m the plantser.

#queerwriters Mon, Ja 5

Hopefully I can get another chapter taken care of this week. Writing my first novel, even if it’s a standalone in a larger narrative, is taking much out of me.

What do you hope to accomplish this week? Can be anything, big or small! Let us know so we can cheer you on!

#JanuaryWorldbuilders

Oh boy, where do I even begin? Ganim has a compounded set of problems that tend to create the world’s most messed up game of 4d chess. The Lord of Corruption created monsters by playing on mankind’s pride and greed, laying curses that at first seem like blessings.
Hey there, #JanuaryWorldbuilders! We're introducing our worlds this week. Tell me about some aspect of your worldbuilding which is a problem for your characters. Is their world infested with monsters? A dystopian government? Or maybe you created a bug that bites them in their sleep?

My name is Matthieu Penn, I’m a writer and an artist who is working on a standalone piece within my wider world of Ganim called “And The Lighthouse Tarries for Thee”. Recently I haven’t made too much progress since this week has been a blurry mess from work, but I know I can get back in the saddle!
Hello #WeeknightWriters! Come on in, introduce yourself and your WIP, and let us know how your writing week is going! (Or not going, that's fine too)
