There are so many things to be angry about right now, that I find it especially egregious that the film “A House of Dynamite” was so infuriating. Et tu, Bigelow?

late-breaking contender for the word of 2025: lizza, verb

lizza’ed, lizza’ing.

transitive verb

1) to sully one’s own reputation while sullying someone else’s reputation, but doing greater damage to one’s own reputation.
2) to suck, generally.

Trump’s comments are vile. I am just as angry at the media outlets that bothsided Jamal’s murder, wrote puff pieces for MBS (Atlantic).

And, the Washington Post opinion page that dismantled the platform that Jamal wrote for, ended the fellowship in his name, and purged its human rights writers.

The answer is coming from inside the question.

I stopped giving money to Harvard years ago because of their consistent policy of doing almost nothing to punish proven sexual assaulters and bullies among the faculty.

At most, they will announce that he is "on leave" in the spring. He'll still get paid, of course.
Per CNN, Elizabeth Warren is calling on Harvard to cut ties with Larry Summers after Jeffrey Epstein's emails released last week by House Dems featured Summers making sexist comments + asking for Epstein’s romantic advice.

There is so much ick happening in this piece, and Summers’ behavior is disgusting and enraging.

Kudos to Patel and Srivastava for excellent reporting.

Look, I know this weaponization of male academic interest is the oldest story in the book, but it’s just so, so pernicious. It’s awful to the women directly involved, but it’s also awful to *all* women in the academy, who have to live in its shadow all the time.

This.
The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

This will be one of the iconic photographs of this time in US history.
This picture says everything about the state of our nation right now, peaceful clergy being arrested and forced face-down on the pavement.

This.
Nuzzi's fawning coverage of the sociopathic conspiracy crank she was having an affair with aided his rise to political power, which he is using to perpetrate the worst intentional public health catastrophe of our unnecessarily shortened lifetimes, and THAT is the STORY.

I love books. They have been my whole thing since I was very small. I have a whole podcast about how great it is that people write books. I'm dreaming up new projects celebrating books and the book ecosystem.

I am all in on books, kids.

Finally some good news!
BIG NEWS: Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva will finally be sworn in as a member of Congress tomorrow.

She is likely to be the 218th vote on the Epstein discharge petition, which would force a full vote to release the Epstein files in their entirety.
November 12, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Blueskis, I have to sit tight and play it cool about something for the next week or so—and I am so not that person.

So my strategy is to pretend like I am someone who can do such things.
November 11, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Question: is the only somewhat silver lining here that the vote will force the House back into session, and Johnson will have to swear in and seat Adelita Grijalva?

Or will he find other reasons to continue denying the citizens of Arizona representation in the House?
