I'm glad Keir Starmer has listened to our calls for this inquiry following the Reform Russian bribery scandal.

Nigel Farage should be the first to give evidence.
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer has launched a formal investigation into foreign election interference

It comes after former Reform UK Welsh Leader Nathan Gill was sentenced to over 10 years in prison last month for making pro-Russia statements for bribes

The live action remake introduced a weird trauma-related bloodlust character trait so presumably they feel the need to expand on that delightful little addition.
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory

he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him

Disney is in early development on a new live-action pic centered on the Beauty and the Beast character Gaston.

Starmer has manouevred himself into a position where he looks naive and weak towards Trump whereas those across the political spectrum from the Greens to LibDems to even some pre-2016 Tories asking how the UK can prepare for a post-American world look like the realists.

I have said it before but I’ll say it again - If the BBC pays a single penny to Donald Trump then there must be an organised mass campaign of civil disobedience in non-payment of the licence fee. The British public cannot be shaken down to fund Trump and his far-right politics!

🇺🇸 The US National Security Strategy is a dystopian document.

🇪🇺 It is an attack on European democracies from a government led by a man who has a poor track record on respecting election results.

🇬🇧 The UK government must stand up to this baseless attack on democracy here at home, and across Europe.

I'm not sure what is more astonishing.

A) Almost 20 years of virtually no wage growth.
B) That this isn't the main focus of most politicians to fix.

We know what to do: Build more stuff, invest more, keep immigration & reverse Brexit.

Do not travel to the USA. Not that I really understand why anybody would want to
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

Whether it’s dealing with Trump or fixing our relationship with Europe, the PM needs to start listening to Parliament and the public.

If he doesn't he may not be in the job for much longer.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,

born of the Father before all ages.

God from God,

Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

through him all things were made.

Farage endorsed Le Pen when it was still called the National Front. What do you call somebody who endorses the far right?
Interesting that the BBC will call National Rally "Far Right" (in an article about Bardella meeting Farage) - when they would never use that term for Reform. Their policies are very similar. If anything Reform's are more authoritarian.

Britain cannot rely on the US any more.

Which means we need to be strategically independent. The only way this happens is to start from scratch.

Trade needs to be oriented to Europe.

We need to scoop up all the brilliant scientists being driven out of America.
I can’t help thinking that when, in future, people ask what UK political leaders said as it became undeniable that US saw European liberal democracy as its no1 strategic foe, Starmer and others will regret that the answer is “not much, shuffled awkwardly, looked at their feet”.

Agghh! the reason Farage’s teenage racist abuse is important in 2025 isn’t that we want to pick on schoolboys, it’s that he went on to become a far right politician and just maybe there’s a connection between the two.

Reading political commentary feels makes me feel like I’m going mad.
