Maduro and Chavez were solely for themselves and their circles, pushing economic hardship on the overall populace and its producers. That wasn’t socialism—that was autocracy and oligarchy, just like what TFG is about to continue for them under the guise of “capitalism.”
Maduro is awful but this isn't order prevailing over chaos, this is a territorial takeover of one criminal overlord by another. I hope that a year from now the Venezuelan people are still happy and didn't go from bad to worse but Trump's track record on making people's lives better is not good.
