I find this argument extremely persuasive: taking humiliation seriously as a political force has enormous explanatory and normative value

American science benefited greatly from European fascism by a combo of offering a haven for refugee scientists and poaching others. Canada and the U.K. should capitalise as much as possible from American fascism - it’s a colossal opportunity to both do good and to benefit for the future.

I think a lot of people have mutual aid confused with charity on here, maybe because folks most often see it in the context of fundraiser asks (which are great!).
