Trainspotting, by myself in the balcony of a giant old unrestored 1920s theater in Madison WI. Snow White in Manila, 3 years old. Blair Witch when the film melted right before the payoff at the end (AKA the only good part) and the theater manager tried to convince us we didnt miss anything.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

It's going to become v expensive to *not* use gen AI
Is there a version of something like Canva that *doesn’t* incorporate AI? Not Premiere or a high-end video editing package, but a glue-images-and-audio-together with captions and subtitles but NO godawful generative options and templates? Like one you’d use if you had an artistic bone in your body?

Classifications arent like, eternal. Classification is done for a reason. Why are you classifying things as Christmas movies and non Christmas movies? Are you shelving them in a library? Are Christmas movies taxed differently?

I’m even more of a physical media hardliner for music than for movies, and watching the collective psychological shift toward Spotify from the outside has been deeply, deeply strange.
I feel like the physical media narrative is lost. So many who champion analog in regards to movies, that advocate for Blu-ray and 4K discs over streaming of those films, have seemingly zero issue with using services like Spotify while not also buying records. Physical media is all of it.
