I lost my friend last week. Here he is with his daughter at probably one of the happiest points in both their lives.

I have a navy blue double-breasted suit and black silk bowtie I use as a faux tuxedo for evening weddings and New Years Eves. I considered taking “semi-formal” literally and wearing it, but it would be loud & out of place. Probly just wear my gray suit and a bright tie.

Hard as it is to accept, the meanings of words do change. Going to a event where “semi-formal” attire is requested. In my day, semi-formal was what you wore to the prom.* Nowdays I would guess it means jeans & a blazer, right? (Replies open)

Any time something I create gets lost, fucked up, destroyed, it's the book the goat ate. When I re-create it, sometimes it's better, sometimes it's not as good as my bittersweet memory of the the book the goat ate.
