If exercise were a drug, it would be the greatest miracle cure humanity had ever invented.

Bravo, Alexandra. It's absurd to be ironic when your anger overwhelms you distance.
Thirty-five million dollars were spent marketing this! It is like someone eating spoonfuls of gold-encrusted garbage and beckoning you to watch. Look at how much gold I’ve put on it! More gold than anyone! Doesn’t it look delicious?

Amazon just announced another round of 16,000 layoffs, months after it laid off 14,000 workers.

Reminder that Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raked in over $40M in 2024.

And Amazon is spending at least $75 million producing and promoting the Melania documentary.

The system is rigged.

More safety malpractice from the City of Vancouver.
Broadway is closed between Main and Quebec for four months. The city has done nothing to prevent rat-running on Ontario and 10th Ave bikeways, creating a giant mess. We'll be pressuring council and staff to fix this ASAP.

This is a simply beautiful remembrance of a stolen life.
"I didn’t realize, in the hours before his name was released to the public, that the man millions of people had seen lying facedown on the pavement from multiple angles of eyewitness video was my childhood best friend."

When I first saw Billy play back in the 80s, I didn't consider the idea that there'd still be fascists to fight on the streets 40 years later, yet here we are.

Imagine giving something as simple as OPENING YOUR WINDOWS a weird translated name and acting like it's some novel way to get fresh air. Lifestyle journalism is asinine.

trump getting his feelings hurt by european leaders is the culmination of this new type of guy that emerged in the last decade or so: guy who goes out of his way to be a huge asshole who then gets really offended when the people he's being an asshole to don't like him

Excellent all around.
After months of trying to play nice with Donald Trump and MAGA world, Mark Carney decided to drop the hammer of truth on his rogue administration, @maxfawcett.bsky.social writes. What comes next will help determine Canada's place in the world — and whether it even has one.
Mark Carney just shook up the world
His speech in Davos might be the most important one ever delivered by a Canadian prime minister. Its consequences will determine his place in history — and ours.

What an absurd decision. Even allowing it on the 7 game days would have been a big win for an industry which could really use one.
The B.C. government told me it is rejecting the hospitality industry’s request to cut red tape and allow all restaurants and bars to temporarily stay open longer on 2026 World Cup game nights.

Canada has the opportunity to help create a global tech landscape that isn’t dominated by US oligarchs.

That won’t happen if our political leaders refuse to quit toxic platforms like Twitter. What are they waiting for? #cdnpoli

Ex-Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura: “We’re a 3rd world country now. I know. I’ve been to ‘em. I spent 17 months in SE Asia while the draft dodger was playing golf… that’s what happens in a dictatorship. In comes the military. That’s what’s happening here.” 🇺🇸
