X/Twitter has officially added a single button that appears on EVERY image that allows users to have Gen AI change the original image in real time with prompts and then download the modified image,
allowing users to blatantly mildly edit (plagiarize) artist's work & or potentially doctor photographs
X (Twitter) has been updated so that you can "click" once to AI-edit images posted there, and from a creator's perspective, this is really the worst. It's a huge problem because it's equivalent to using AI to do secondary retouching on images screenshot of the 'edit image(s)' button on X

A.I. is the golden idol of cargo cultism.

It recreates images without any true understanding of why, as to what purpose, as to what context. It cannot comprehend the tools of the art, or the meaning of it, or the motive.

It can only clumsily and thoughtlessly replicate what it has seen.

People vastly underestimate how important trans* rights are in the contemporary fight for freedom.

If you cannot make your own choices for your body, the name you go by, or even the very clothes that you wear, then you are not, in any sense, meaningfully free.

I hate so much when readers send me AI "art" they made about my characters. This is gross. I very much prefer the real art made by real person. Skill does not matter. I see love, and nothing is more important for me as an author.

When a reader loves a story so much they're inspired to make art about it, no matter their artistic skill, it's a beautiful thing. As an author, if I found out a reader made AI fan art of my characters I'd feel insulted. AI generated fan art is an abomination. Fuck off with that & keep fucking off!
Get AI out of fandom. Stop making headcanons with it, stop making fanfic with it, stop making fanart with it. If I see one more 'asking chat gpt *blank* about * character/characters in fandom* I'm going to lose my goddamn mind. Use your own fucking brain, stop asking AI to do everything. You could even ask other real people what they think. Just stop using AI in creative spaces.

I always write a happy ending for my queer characters. They are happy, they are together, they are in love. I'm fucking tired of all sad dead broken queer people at the end of the story. So fucking tired.
