I have no idea what you're doing! Each page has a page break and a new page has a new header. Years ago I downloaded the free Smashwords formatting guide by Mark Croker. I made myself a template by following that. Never had an issue with headers or footers, or editing.

I've formatted nearly 100 paperbacks in Word. It's great. I have a template that worked out a long time ago. I copy and paste my MS in to before I tidy it up. The only issue is for uploading to KDP it has to be saved as a PDF. Other platforms take a word file and create Epubs.

I got an Office 2017 disc on eBay a few years ago. I'm so glad I did as I can write without all of the upgrades and AI. It would drive me batty. Microsoft just made their product worse.

Yes, and in searches I add '-AI' at the end of a prompt and get no AI summaries.

I'm just one person, and my programming needs are somewhat unusual (building various kinds of statistical forecasting models). But I'm just not seeing the consistent productivity gains from LLMs that I would have expected if you'd asked me 6 months ago.
