The first time I saw it, I thought she said “12 time turns” and assumed it meant 12 years
Then I heard “12 tide turns” and assumed it meant 6 days
Either way I’m confused

At this point I’ve come to appreciate how the people who wrote the musical gave absolutely no thought to any kind of internal consistency. What tide? The sand tide?
My most generous estimate was always that there was maybe like a five year gap between act one and two but one year is crazy.
