What a time to be alive that was. This is the longest drought i can remember experiencing waiting on a new tomb raider game.
From 2013 to 2018 there was a consistency to the output of new games etc. now for the past 4 years it’s mostly been cameos in other games and ofc the remasters (that we love)

8 years ago, Shadow of the Tomb Raider was first teased by the official TR account via a short statement from Crystal Dynamics & Square Enix.

The idea of a DVD being "a copy of your favorite movie/TV show that YOU own forever" probably sounds like the ultimate cheat code to the generation who has only know the streaming ecosystem and, as such, more aware of its shortcomings.
