The ACA fucking *sucks*, is a national shame, is confoundingly cruel and ineffective and insufficient and, also, simultaneously is SO MUCH MORE PREFERABLE to pre-ACA American healthcare it's not even close.
The thing about ACA is that if an American describes how it works to someone from literally anywhere else, the other person will be utterly horrified at its deliberate cruelty.

The way the horror of pre-ACA healthcare sounds to an American, is basically how ACA sounds to everyone else on earth.

Exactly! There is some use in taking the pulse of the userbase to determine what the general overall vibes are for whether they expect/want certain things to be a violation, in order to calibrate, but it can never be anything other than a data point.

I spend a lot of time on a forum with a user elected community council that can review moderator actions and it works fairly well, but the owners still have sole oversight over anything potentially illegal / technically harmful, and that's with only a few thousand active users. It could never scale.
