Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

The Cruz brief relies exclusively on Collins, who literally was the man who engineered and *lost* the Wong Kim Ark case. Cruz simply refers to him as "a court appointed amicus" and suggests he had special insight into the decision. It's bananas, and deserves no respect whatsoever.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

The White House posted a digitally altered image showing a demonstrator involved in interrupting a church service in Minnesota last weekend crying as she was arrested on Thursday.

A previous version of the image, also posted by an official government account, showed her looking forward calmly.

The New York Times ran the image posted by Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, as well as the one posted by the White House through an A.I. detection system. It concluded that the White House’s version showed signs of manipulation.

Not only has Rand Paul increased this cost by a factor of 10,000, there was actually useful science behind the research as I explained in 2021.

DOJ is trying to position this case as a vehicle for overruling two SCOTUS cases on a specific kind of affirmative action plan: one that uses a targeted strategy to correct a "manifest imbalance" in workplace demographics, which would typically have been caused by intentional job segregation
BREAKING: DOJ is suing Minnesota over its state hiring policies, asserting that its affirmative action programs violate Title VII.

Notably, the AG is seeking a three-judge district court panel (which would include one Eighth Circuit judge) for the case.
