Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Can you imagine how much time we'd have if we didn't have to keep saying "You're on mute" or "Somebody has muted their microphone"?

i think american life would improve significantly and quickly if society was more encouraging of people to have Hobbies. the most perfect and serene state of mind that exists is when one is Doing one's Little Things

This is a relatively succinct way of putting something I've been trying to articulate for some time

I would add that we mock people who dare to hope or heaven forbid trust anyone or anything

Ahmed al Ahmed, the man who tackled one of the Bondi killers, became an Australian citizen 3 years ago.

His deed was "his way of conveying his gratitude for staying in Australia, for being granted citizenship."

He took 5 bullets, and fears he'll lose his left arm.

The handmade, human qualities of your work are more valuable than they've ever been. Don't doubt that for a second.

If it's any consolation my new studio monitors are not cut off by the headphones being plugged in

I habitually wear closed studio headphones - the speakers are a novelty

This has lead to a number of desperately dull YouTube instructionals on 3D printing being broadcast to the entire neighbourhood

I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more things this month

Then there was a mis-described Manfrotto rarity on eBay

I caved

I'm not even sorry

Was thinking about AI today and was reminded of poison damage in Final Fantasy. That’s what AI is. But we’ve poisoned ourselves. We’ve poisoned ourselves with so much shit and it just keeps taking HP in the background while we’re trying to kill whatever tarantulas we’re fighting.

Should you ever find yourself needing to test studio monitors for positioning, balance and clarity, can I strongly suggest an afternoon listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon

The sound design is just astonishing
