We apologise for using the 'C' word in Nov, but if you happen to be Christmas shopping (sorry), @chemtrust.bsky.social has written a guide on how to avoid gifts containing harmful chemicals like PFAS. It's sad we live in a world where we need to think about that, but they are in a lot of products.
🗓️ #BlackFriday is approaching, and products on sale may contain #HarmfulChemicals.

🔍 When buying items, look out for eco labels like the #EUecolabel, Blue Angel, and Nordic Swan.

The Vatican returned 62 artifacts to Indigenous peoples from Canada, a historic restitution that is part of the Catholic Church's reckoning with its role in helping suppress Indigenous culture.

I had to double check this to see if it was legit. It is.

Apparently to the Catholic Church, it's not pedophilia unless it comes from the pedophile region of France or something.

Good grief.

Why you may wonder... it just might be due to the impressionable mentor she had while attending college... the renowned late Award Winning Author, Toni Morrison who'd been a Howard University graduate.

the biggest lesson from the emails today is that powerful people are so unafraid of consequences for crimes as bad as “raping children” that they will just talk about it openly in emails

the only path to a better society is one where that is no longer true

I have nothing but enthusiasm for any so-called "collateral damage" from the Epstein files.

Powerful people have been doing horrific, objectively evil things and it needs to be stopped.

I'm trained as a forensic psychologist and after they wind up incarcerated we can talk rehabilitation.

Some years you learn a little, some years you learn a lot. I think this last year has been one of those learning years.

It's all good.

And even in those fallow years you learn and grow and you store those small things that will make you grow in the next year or the year after that.
