I'm not sure when they quietly increased toy prices (excluding Hot wheels and Matchbox diecast), but toys are now $1.75 at The Dollar Tree. At first I was wondering why they all had red dot stickers on them, then realized it's to cover up the printed $1.25 price on them.

It's 40 degrees with a wind chill of 34 right now in my area of Florida. I added unsalted, shelled peanuts to my bird feeders last night so the birds could have some extra protein. Multiple bluejays are taking them and hiding them in my yard. I just watched one bury a peanut in a sandy spot. 😂🐦🐦

An elderly woman stopped me in a parking lot today, asking for help getting her 14 month old great-grandson out of his car seat. She had tried, broken off her fingernail and was bleeding. She told me she was 76 years old and struggling because her family was taking advantage of her.

I've noticed a few news stories about donating money instead of food to food pantries. Don't let that deter you if all you have to offer is what you already have at home. My son and I took six bags of food down to our neighborhood community center and stocked up the food cupboard they have there.

Most of them work. The rest are disabled, elderly, children or caregivers.

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

At 10:53 am, it feels like 104 degrees with the heat index. This is why we homeschool during the summer and take a fall/winter break. I'll never understand why public schools in Florida give kids their longest break during the hottest part of the year. 🥵
