I'm not sure when they quietly increased toy prices (excluding Hot wheels and Matchbox diecast), but toys are now $1.75 at The Dollar Tree. At first I was wondering why they all had red dot stickers on them, then realized it's to cover up the printed $1.25 price on them.

Yes, they do, but they also stand on one leg and tuck their heads to to stay warm. 👍😊 It was very chilly the day I took these photos. Around a 20 degree drop in temperature for us.

We had a cold front come through a week ago in Florida. This one kept tucking its head in its feathers to stay warm. 🪽🪽 💙

I grew up next to a reservation. I went to a school with many indigenous students. Not once did the public education system address the reality of their heritage. Looking back, I can't imagine how they felt being taught the whitewashed version of historical events. I'm teaching my son the truth. 👍

It's mind-blowing how history is taught in our schools. My son was sent home from public school one time in a construction paper headdress and vest. He now understands why the school was wrong to do that. 🤦

I explained to her about setting personal boundaries. I told her it's okay to say "No". That she needs to put boundaries in place because some people will take everything from you, until you have nothing left to give. I shared my own experiences.

She said she's exhausted caring for her young grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but her family keeps leaving them with her. She takes them to doctors appointments and buys all of their necessities. That's what she was doing today, a doctor's appointment and shopping for diapers.
