One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.

Bro, people are going to build entire lives around the neighbors they’ve found in these anti-ICE signal chats. Marriages, lifelong friendships, weird hobbies. It is actually breaking my brain. I am almost crying in the club (chat).

How you can tell the protesters aren’t paid agitators: Watch the videos. It’s the accents.

Those accents have a favorite Zorbaz.

Those accents can tell you EXACTLY where they were on 10/31/91.

Those accents have thrown a bra off the SkyGlider.

Those accents get emotional about Randy Moss.

They have fucking assault rifles and we have whistles and they’re scared shitless, because they know we’d rather be righteous and dead than ever be them.

These neighborhood signal chats are absolutely crazy right now. You’ve got young activists in there with the most normie folks alive who all just absolutely fucking hate ICE so much. And they are all willing to put their bodies on the line for their communities.

The Hmong are here because they fought for the US in a war we lost.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

MINNEAPOLIS — “The real criminals is ICE… Another person shot because of their skin color. Even if we’re citizens, they don’t care. Because they’re fucking racists.”

A witness talks to @statuscoupnews.bsky.social after another person was shot, they say with a pregnant woman in the house.

I put together a ranked top 10 for 2025 because everybody's always like "unranked, it's a big list" and I gotta go the other way. My song of the year is "Heartthrob" by Indigo de Souza. It was a great year for music! Music is the best!

Just the greatest movie
PTA shut down production and ballooned the budget on this movie so he could cast Benicio del Toro, and the very first shot of him instantly proves it was worth it

Dem failure aside, it’s incredible how a small town in NW New Mexico has cornered the polling market. Inspiring really
Gallup has new polling on immigration. Topline findings:
-Americans hate Trump's immigration policy (35% approve, 62% disapprove)
-Share who say immigration is a "good thing" for the country just hit an all-time high (79%)

People will say their equivocating or even fawning coverage of RFK is because NPR is too worried about being called biased by conservatives, but I secretly suspect another reason is that a lot of these anti-science health stances are popular with NPR’s core audience.

RFK Jr. wants to tackle chronic disease. Despite controversial views on vaccines, his focus on healthy food and taking on special interests may find broad support — and face political headwinds.
