It's why he is threatening Colombia + Mexico. Why he bought elections in Argentina + Honduras. And interfered in Brazil's courts.

Latin America's democratic left bloc is the most principled opposition to Trump in the world, defending international law while richer + more powerful nations cower. 2/3

The weak response from Can, EU and UN to Trump's flagrant crimes in Venezuela is striking.

It exposes that much of the world has been cowed.

Most notable exception: the Latin American left.

That is why the Trump Admin has gone to enormous lengths to defeat the left across the continent. 1/3

If there's a key to understanding Trump and his supporters more than anything else is that they're all living in a world that's about 40 years out of date with reality. Perhaps, the problem some have with understanding that is because even some who don't like Trump have the same problem.
its incredible to read how the regime has to do a hard sell on the oil companies for this. president grandpas 1989 brain does it again. oil is 50 dollars a barrel and the infrastructure is degraded and the situation completely confused and politically volatile. oil ceos not exactly excited. amazing
whatever the real reason for this was by the smart guys, the stated reason for the addled moron in charge is oil. and that's darkly funny considering we don't need it

I was 10 or 11yo when the IRA hunger strikes happened, too young to properly follow events.
Reading about it now for insight on Palestine Action hunger strikes it strikes me the news blackout is not because Palestine Action is proscribed, but because they know it will have public sympathy.

Despite reposting the call to arms below, I didn’t act on it until a few minutes ago.

Why? Because it felt too hard and overwhelming.

It was SO EASY.

Add your name to the letter now. If you choose not to write anything individual it will take less than a minute ❤️

The batshit reaction to the mod and the bullying the modder is receiving is much much more disturbing than Izzy having boobs.

Like some of the comments they are getting are just awful. Like people posting "KYS" and nazi shit in their comments.

And the posts you mention help normalize it.

Charlie Kirk was a husband and a father. We heard it over and over again

Only certain types of people get to be husbands and fathers. Some people are simply civilians. Faceless, nameless and without consequence. Civilians die. It's what they do
The New York Times has just confirmed that 40 civilians died in President Trump's invasion.

This is the aftermath in one area

What does it mean that the US is sanctioning members of the International Criminal Court? They cannot travel to the US. Using credit cards or international financial institutions become very difficult. apnews.com/article/inte...

International Criminal Court judges and prosecutors are trying to live and work under the same financial and travel restrictions brought against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Osama bin Laden.

Like, we could rely on a group of lawyers and human rights experts to determining which national leaders have engaged in such extraordinary crimes that they could be jailed, or we could just let the most powerful countries do it. The International Criminal Court was investigating Maduro.

I want to remind everyone that the US has sanctioned members of the International Criminal Court for going through a formal legal process to identify international leaders who engaged in war crimes, making them vulnerable to arrest.

Trump is pushing the invasion of Greenland again. Denmark needs to kick out the US, send a larger military contingent and air defence systems to protect against a US invasion and attacks. Failing to do so is dangerously shortsighted.
