What I like about the Cease signing is that it seems (feels?) as though Scott Boras gave the 7yrs/$210M quote, and the Jays were like: “Fine.”

there is zero chance the Yankees failed to turn a profit in any year, but especially in 2025 when they were coming off a World Series appearance. If an MLB owner says he lost money, that's like me saying I can fly. You should insist on proof.
