That's incredible, omg. I can't even imagine that level of silent stadium haha. Amazing luck to get tickets like that.

They have such team of destiny vibes, it would be really cool.

Omg were you at that game??

Also I have to say that even though losing game 1 will haunt me unless they do the thing, being in the building for Springer's first pitch HR was bananas

I was feeling pretty brutal about the ALCS today, but even if the Jays get swept (look, I hope they have another home game, but IF) they'll have played 8 playoff games this year. 8 more than I'd have guessed at the start of the year, which is cool as shit, honestly. (please win some more though lol)

lmao that I have my twitter archive and you can just assume the timestamps (newest to oldest here)
Screenshot of tweets from my twitter archive dated October 14, 2015 (newest to oldest):
- "This is the most insane experience of my life"
- "Well, I was having a great time at the game so obviously some calamity had to happen"
- "This is awful."
- "At the park wtf happened"

I remember having no idea what the call on the field was in the top of the 7th and tweeting a request for explanation, which @marcnormandin.bsky.social fulfilled, and also having no idea there had been a bat flip because we were busy watching/celebrating the HR. Saw gifs on Twitter after. Great day.

Ten years ago today: one of the loudest sounds I have ever heard in my life (dome was closed, felt like the roof nearly tore right off)

9 years ago today (well, the flip was... the paper is from 9 years ago tomorrow).

I have no memory of buying and saving this newspaper, and I happened upon it by accident when cleaning out a closet. Jose Bautista forever.
A Toronto Star front page from October 15, 2015, with the headline "JOSE! JOSE! JOSE! JOSE!" and a photo of Jose Bautista flipping his bat.

that was possibly the craziest thing I have ever seen in a baseball game and I was present for the Jays 2015 ALDS Game 5. what the hell

Genuinely is Daulton Varsho okay because what is going on out there

You could yell OH THE YEAR WAS 1778 anywhere in the world and any Canadians in earshot would be completely unable to resist, I think

now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier— (god this really is the "find all the Canadians who follow you" beacon)

Extremely same, holding the lead takes years off my life

throwing a mild tantrum about having attended the only closed-dome home game so far this postseason 😠

I've definitely paid a lot less money to have a lot more fun before but that was still cool, get em tomorrow imo (pls)

Thanks! It's feeling a bit expensive for the game we got lmao but no regrets

Tragically, I love the Mariners but I'm going to hate them by the end of the series

okay now that there are in fact four teams left it feels totally bananas that one of them is the Blue Jays
