I was feeling pretty brutal about the ALCS today, but even if the Jays get swept (look, I hope they have another home game, but IF) they'll have played 8 playoff games this year. 8 more than I'd have guessed at the start of the year, which is cool as shit, honestly. (please win some more though lol)

I remember having no idea what the call on the field was in the top of the 7th and tweeting a request for explanation, which @marcnormandin.bsky.social fulfilled, and also having no idea there had been a bat flip because we were busy watching/celebrating the HR. Saw gifs on Twitter after. Great day.

9 years ago today (well, the flip was... the paper is from 9 years ago tomorrow).

I have no memory of buying and saving this newspaper, and I happened upon it by accident when cleaning out a closet. Jose Bautista forever.
