This is one of those times where societal pressure can really work. I disengage with anything I see using AI and I tell them so. If we don't fight this, we could end up in a terrifying new paradigm of digital slavery an order of magnitude worse than we currently have.

ALL you have to do is just not use it, tell these companies you aren't using it, and make fun of people who do. We need a mass collective effort to make genAI extremely uncool, lame, embarrassing, cringe. Everyone needs to react to it with a MOUNTAIN of hostility until they run out of steam.

It's cost me my livelihood personally, but it's coming for all of us. Literally all of us. Rich people have lost their ability to think long term, so they are going to doom humanity with this, and not in a Skynet way. Putting the lights on SUCKS. I know it would be easier to have a fake pre-lit tree but the realness is important to me, so I must suffer through this part. I do not enjoy decorating the tree because it is a standing up activity
I got my tree and it smells sooooo good. I love having a real tree. It will probably take a week to fully decorate, plus since I don't have a topper I decided to make a Biblically Accurate Angel: 100 dragon eyes and a bunch of feathers
