Akin to “I miss Evensong” - we do it and it’s me, the choir and four people in the congregation, none of whom are ever you.
“I miss blockbuster video” the library has every dvd totally untouched and I never see you there

Catholic sacramentality inherently means that Catholicism is BOTH vibes AND details. In this essay I will.
I’m still struggling to name this dynamic in a way that doesn’t undercut either just how well the movie depicts Christianity or just how important I believe things like the inviolability of the confessional and the words of absolution are.

Again, I just can’t help but feel the vision for our Church is chaplaining retirement and palliative care, rather than growth and renewal. Like God forbid there’s some promising work to grow the Church - gotta nip that in the bud proactively!
The number one question I get asked when I visit parishes is “how do we get more young people”?

So of course our national church is doing this.

I’m the kind of practising Christian who is adamantly “happy holidays” because IT’S NOT CHRISTMAS YET but Advent indeed is “holy days” so happy holidays is perfect.

I actually purposely seek out happy holidays coffee gift cards as a pre-Christmas pick me up for my priests 😂

Bridget don't be sad!! I know it *seems* ageist but actually these former priests are still equal in *dignity* to real priests. They just have a different role. But I find they are much happier after they stop denying their nature ☺️

sorry men can’t hear scripture or pray about it, because receiving the Word & holding it in your heart is inherently feminine.

sorry, boys & men can’t be baptized, bc baptism makes you a member of the Church, the Bride of Christ.
