"We'll invade you to protect and liberate you" is what Pu said to Ukr. Ru often insists it's the only guarantor of Ukrainian sovereignty. Now Trump is walking in Pu's footsteps by saying the only way Greenland can be sovereign/protected is by being taken over by the US. Surreal Ru-US convergence!

CBC’s mandate hasn’t been updated since 1991. As NDP critic for Heritage (Arts, Culture & Sport), I told @thehilltimes the CBC is vital, especially in rural Canada. Poilievre and Conservatives talk about cuts. We should strengthen public broadcasting, not defund it.

Great read. I know what I am listening to tonight…
"John Lennon said: You want a hit, don’t you? Put some fiddles on it!"

MOJO pulls back the curtain on the scenes of Gatsby-esque LA bacchanal that set the backdrop for Joni Mitchell’s jazz rock masterpiece Court And Spark, released on this day in 1974.

Here we go again with the ludicrous bullshit from the US because Canada is not willing to fall in line with obeying the Fascist evil empire. They continue to delude themselves if they think we ever will. Sorry not sorry Canada doesn't work with Nazi pedifiles.

I'd also like to renew the call for media to stop using "Ottawa" as a shorthand for "The Federal Government."

It sounds like nitpicking a word choice but it absolutely contributes to a culture where people outside our city don't differentiate between a city and a government.
As someone who lives downtown Ottawa and who was living dead centre of the "Red Zone" where I had to literally show ID at a police checkpoint in order to get to my apartment, a huge middle finger to this and what it's about to enable.
