I do think it’s interesting that conservatives characterize subsidized buses or grocery stores as “just getting free stuff” but spending many times more on things like an overfunded police force or subsidized corporate bailouts as somehow not “free stuff”.

Given how useless the democrats are I wonder if the more left-wing of the party (AOC, Bernie, Ilhan Omar, Zohran) could potentially form a successful alternative together. I see way more grassroots support for them and their policies than I’ve ever seen for any establishment Dems

In all honesty if it weren’t for apps I never would have dated. I’ve never been approached in person and I’m way too shy and socially awkward to ever approach anyone. I know they suck for most people but they were kind of a godsend for me

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

I’m not trying to idealize Europe but I just got back from a vacation in Amsterdam where navigating the public transport was easy, clean, and quiet and now have waited in the JFK terminal for over an hour for a shuttle to pick us up, where we will then take 2 more car trips to get home.

I have abandoned baby mice that I’m trying to keep alive & I just want to say, my bf has been so sweet & helpful, from trying to catch mama mouse (we were unsuccessful) to building a nest out of cotton and just, idk, being supportive when I cried over these little lives that probably won’t make it.

These people will spend more time criticizing the only media that addresses the US’s problems from a class standpoint rather than pressure the Democrats in any way to actually stand for something. They did this to themselves when they let Roe go without a fight.
The left cannot purge the Chapo brainrot fast enough. It turns out that caring about stuff, even when it's cringe, is in fact good.
Building a mass movement (instead of a subculture) will require a lot of cringe, so get comfortable with it
