She really just said why are you talking about the mass coverup of child rape when you should be talking about money
Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."

Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all what’s being done to us.

Voter fraud is yet another "issue" that isn't an issue at all. Through countless studies, systematic voter fraud has never been found to exist. Voter suppression is real, though, and there are libraries full of data.
We've got the numbers: Last year we published (in partnership with the @brennancenter.org and @umd-cdce.bsky.social) survey results showing that some 21.3 million Americans could be disenfranchised by the SAVE Act, which the House''ll vote on tomorrow.

Time to send this thing back to its grave.
Millions of Americans Don’t Have Documents Proving Their Citizenship Readily Available
Requiring Americans to prove their citizenship to register to vote would exclude millions of citizens from the political process.

I really want specifics on this. Like, do we get a per diem? Mileage? Are we insured? Do we get a bonus for every ICE agent we distress, and if so how much per hurt feeling? What’s the PTO situation? Can we set up direct deposit or do they mail us checks
KNOTT: Why is it that there is so much tension in Minneapolis/St Paul right now?

SCOTT: Because paid agitators are actively trying to stop law enforcement action. Without that, you wouldn't even have any idea most of these arrests were taking place

I arrived too late to an abduction yesterday. Ice vehicles boxed in a food delivery driver on the highway. They took him, and when I came on the scene (with a few other neighbors in cars), his keys were still in it. We found his phone, a debit card, his car title and registration.

How on earth did the New York Times not know that was sugar cane on Benito’s set. My god.

More than a million Puerto Ricans live in New York! Might be good to have someone on staff who understands their history!

I have original art for a Sally Forth Sunday page up for sale on eBay. Art features the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport. All net proceeds of the sale will go to a local Minneapolis school which is being overwhelmed as they help families affected by ICE agents.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

Like Kendrick, political as hell precisely because it doesn't bother to acknowledge the haters. They're irrelevant, beneath attention. And nothing is more intolerable to fascists than the thought that their enemies are cool, enjoying themselves, and not thinking about them.

Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

/3 Bad Bunny is an American citizen, but he could have been born on Plymouth Fucking Rock and he would still fall on the “immigrant” side of the “immigration divide” to Trump and his WaPo toadies.

The implication that Bad Bunny is not a natural born citizen because of language and appearance is a sign of our constitutional and moral decay.
The Super Bowl halftime show, with Bad Bunny showcasing Latin music before a global television audience expected to top 100 million, will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star delivers an explicit political message.
The enthusiasm — and scorn — surrounding Bad Bunny’s star turn at the Super Bowl
The halftime show will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star makes an explicit message about Trump’s deportation drive.
