Who’s next?

One demotion cannot detract from accountability.

Greg Bovino and Trump’s agents must still be held responsible for the killings and the damage they’ve done to America.

Every voting Alaskan should know where our legislators and candidates stand on ICE, DHS, and Border Patrol. Not a single one is calling for cutting off funding or abolishing ICE.

Sullivan has another smarmy prepared statement.

after what happened with Twitter I’m deeply skeptical people will abandon a social network they’re invested in over an ownership change but if they really are immediately censoring TikTok in a notable way in the aftermath of a radicalizing event there’s a chance they actually fuck up this transition
This morning, I recorded a video on TikTok about why DHS’s arguments for the power to enter homes without judicial warrants in immigration cases are bunk.

Nine hours later, TikTok still says my video is “under review,” and can’t be shared.

Well, here’s a link:

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

I am more worried about war in Minnesota than in Greenland or Canada.

The US is hours or days away from civil war. This might sound extreme, but if Walz has the Minn National Guard blocking ICE ops, the usual response of the fed govt to governors using NG against feds is to call out the army. 1/

This should be a HUGE scandal. Adam Crum should resign from the gubernatorial race in shame. Dunleavy has shown he’s unfit to run the State of Alaska, again. He has zero supervisory skills and is fiscally irresponsible. What else don’t we know about these two? #akleg

This. I am done returning to the status quo of what got us here. I want universal healthcare. I want a maximum wage tied to the minimum wage. I want omnipresent, cheap public transit and walkable neighborhoods. I want Supreme Court and police reform, and I want the rich to pay their fair share.
We need to pick up this Overton Window and throw it as far as we can. Stop waiting for shit to “be popular” and start advocating for what is transparently right.

Any democrat not calling for the destruction of ice and the arrest of its leadership is not a worthy candidate and must be primaries. Abolish ice is a bare minimum ask. If the democrats are unwilling to stop funding ice or the government over this they deserve to lose every election they run in.

It’s immoral when Alaska has money to subsidize big oil while Alaskans are facing crisis after crises. Alaska has no money for basic services. The state is broke, people can’t keep roofs over their heads, can’t afford health insurance and food. There’s no moral justification for this. NONE #akleg

Outstanding rebuttal.
The Wash Post Editorial Board published one of the most reckless pieces of “journalism” I’ve ever seen, attacking NYC Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani.

The article is replete with disinfo, half truths, & anti-Black racism. I dismantle each of their claims—with receipts

What’s hurt Democrats long term isn’t promising undeliverables, it’s prioritizing the desires of corporate interests and big donors above the needs of actual voters.

There is a difference between righteous anger, directed at injustice, and hateful anger, directed at those who are different. Authoritarian regimes deliberately conflate the two to silence criticism and create false equivalence. It's important we don't let those in power succeed in this endeavor.
