A few years ago, my son installed a pihole on our home network.
This captures and blocks ads on the whole network at the modem level and also prevents tracking and signalling from machines on the network.
By far, by a mile, the most blocks are on our Samsung TV trying to snitch on us back to HQ.

I'm having a lot of fun as a little time-filler designing routes on gpx.studio to not have time to cycle. Mind you, I'm even more motivated now that I actually read the damn manual for my bicycle computer (it has turn-based navigation).
A fun part is that there are marked paths that are private.

Mucky slog, slipping and sliding in the bad parts, cold, windy. Great to be back on the bike! Really enjoyed that. Also discovered that I have no idea how to operate my GPS cycling computer.

When I was under 1, my dad was arrested in the UK. As was the standard procedure, he had the beating of his life and was left on a cell floor to reflect on the errors of his ways. He got 3 years in a max security jail. One of the men arrested with him died on hunger strike.

The cat has been utterly fascinated by my daily use of the shredder in my office. He sits and watches, eyes wide. Can't get enough of it. I've given it a break because it is full, so he came over to try it himself, but you need fingers to operate it.
