Slow business, philosophy. One of the things that got me started in philosophy was being told by a law lecturer that if one person has a right, at least other person or entity must have a duty, and wondering whether it was always true. Still thinking about it close to fifty years later.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

When I wrote about Project 2025 in April 2024, literally all I was asked by mainstream Australia media was to “prove” the link to Trump. Very few took the answer seriously. But *all* of this was observable and *could have been planned for* by allies of the United States.

The easiest way to encourage social cohesion is to creat a society that welcomes all and offers financial security to all.

Equal education, health and infrastructure for all.

Legislate that.

Best of 2025 - Australia faces a looming crisis of older women retiring in poverty. Here’s what we can do
Australia faces a serious challenge. Despite important progress on gender equality over recent decades, a looming crisis now threatens the economic security of older women. Without urgent and bold action, we risk consigning further generations of women to poverty in retirement.
