1. It's called a cockchafer beetle.
2. It’s also sometimes known as a “billywitch”.
3. It’s unusually loud and clumsy by beetle standards and bangs into lots of things when it flies into your house by mistake.

We have new neighbours, with 2 little dogs. One of them barks when he sees us. I was in the garden this AM & Chuck was with me. The tiny dog barked. Chuck froze then went to the door and cried to go inside.
