Here are some self care things I tried to do (and struggled with) in 2025 that I want to continue in 2026. Self care is one of the most difficult things we can do because of the commitment needed. The last one is the most important for me to remember. Maybe these will help you too! #selfcare

As video games evolved alongside the internet, new pathways were opened for us to find and connect with others. Connections in the chaos of life, making us feel less isolated, and able to share in our victories. Some of my greatest friendships are those I have fostered with through video games. 🎮🙌
Video games are special to each of us for different reasons.
Some of us were lonely, isolated, and had trouble making friends as kids. We were "different".
Video games gave us a feeling that we almost never got to have—A feeling of control.
And we finally got to feel what it was like to 𝘸𝘪𝘯.

I know the world is scary and depressing right now.
But don't forget to protect your peace. Video games help me recharge and escape when I feel overwhelmed, and sometimes we need that. We're all human.
It's good to fight back, but you can't fight as hard if your mind is heavy. Take care of it too.

I have said this before about other studios doing layoffs but I feel for the creative people being axed amidst the studios scramble to stay afloat. The leadership team’s resignation is a major red flag too. I guess the Kickstarter business model was not as sustainable as they thought.
