1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

There's way too much nonchalance about the fact that California is hurtling toward electing a MAGA governor, even if 65% of its voters vote for a Democrat in the primary. Harold Meyerson reports on the top-two primary setting conditions for an election at odds with voter preference.
The Nation’s Most Democratic State Might Elect a Trump-Friendly Governor - The American Prospect
California’s nonpartisan primary pits eight Democrats against two Republicans; only the top two finishers advance. Do the math.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Marimar Martinez is a hero.

She was shot 5 times by ICE.

The agent told her to “do something b*tch” before opening fire.

He later bragged “5 shots, 7 holes”.

DHS tried to smear her reputation but video footage vindicated her.

Next week she will testify in Washington about ICE’s brutality.

Agree with this. On the first day Homan was in charge, ICE tried to invade the Ecuadorian Consulate. Doesn't seem great.
I don’t think passing Tom Homan off as a professional is going to work. He has the look of a stepped-on old potato. He can’t help but sound the bell warning “drunk distant uncle at the family function.”

It’s funny to me that it never occurs to him that the majority of us really despise him free of charge.
A person was removed as President Trump spoke at an event in Clive, Iowa, on January 27. Trump, speaking from the lectern, said the person and others were "paid agitators," adding, "They get paid," he said, and called them "paid insurrectionists" and "sickos."

So simply naming someone is doxxing, but taking photos and license plate numbers to create a database of the opposition for government stalking and harassment purposes is not?

Naming someone is not doxxing them, and moving them to another city to kill more is conspiracy against rights.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

Mortality rates:

Mifepristone: 0.65/100,000
Penicillin 2/100K
Viagra 4/100K

Pregnancy in the US: 22/100,000 (some states see rates >60/100K)

More people have died in ICE detention centers already in 2026 than will die from mifepristone all year. These politicians are extremely dangerous to women.
