I lived in Molesworth Street during the 2022 occupation. It wasn’t “peaceful”; it was filth and menace. People shat and pissed on our lawns. Emergency workers were blocked from reaching neighbours. The smell lingered for weeks.

Remove the reference to Travis Kelce, and I think The Fate of Ophelia is also about the eras tour reviving TS's fame and Opalite is about getting her master recordings back.

Second listen through concentrating on the lyrics and the theme she said on that podcast. First four songs are solid, plus Actually Romantic, Cancelled and The Life of the Showgirl all related to fame. I was so worried Father Figure was about Olivia Rodrigo but in second listen, I think its about Scott Borchetta and men like him.

Musing in the album tonight, I feel that tonally "Ruin the Friendship" does not fit on TLOASG. But I'm glad it exists. At first it made me think of a highschool crush. Now I think of late friends. Doesn't it break you, the first time a close friend dies? You wonder what more you could have done.
